Spinning Wool (into Yarn)

Information and drawings by Mt. View Middle School 8th Graders in "Raw to Refined" Arts and Crafts Class
2003 Winter term

Put together a drop spindle with two CDs and a rubber washer.

Take a small dowel and twist a small hook in the end of it.

Get some wool caught in the hook and connect the other end to the stick below the CDs.

Now you have to spin the stick.

Pinch the wool and keep an triangle of tension so that the wool doesn't get too thick.
